The County Commissioners met in Regular Meeting at 10:00 a.m. in the County Commissioners office. Those present were: Chairman, Cary Carrell; Member, Anthony Fixico; County Assessor, Gerald Sherrill; County Treasurer, Renee Howard; County Clerk, Christi Hair; Paula Peterson.

ABSENT: Vice-Chairman, Marty Clinton

AGENDA:

Item No. 1: Call Meeting to Order. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Carrell.

Item No. 2: Approve Minutes of Last Meeting(s). A motion was made by Fixico and seconded by Carrell to approve the minutes of the last meeting; a regular meeting held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Office of the Jackson County Courthouse.

Item No. 3: Approve Reports. Reports for the month of October, 2011 were presented as follows:

· Election Board $0.00

Item No. 4: Officers Reports. There was nothing discussed at this time.

Item No. 5: Approve Blanket Purchase Orders. A motion was made by Fixico and seconded by Carrell to approve the issuance of four (4) blanket purchase orders for the District Attorney’s office as follows:

· Redwood Toxicology / Lab Testing / JDC-2 $2000.00

· Motionworks / Drug/Lab Testing / JDC-2 $2000.00

· HAC, Inc. / Graduation Supplies / JDC-2 $ 400.00

· Motionworks / Bracelets / JDC-2 $6000.00

Item No. 6: Consideration and possible action on Resolution for Determining the Maximum Monthly Highway Expenditures for the Month of November, 2011. . A motion was made by Carrell and seconded by Fixico to adopt and approve Resolution #2011-53, determining the maximum amount the purchasing agent may encumber for the month of November, 2011; an amount not to exceed $850346.88.

Item No. 7: Consideration and possible action on contract for lease of copier. Chairman Carrell announced the Commissioner’s Office will be leasing a smaller copier with fewer features, but will save money and continue to perform the needed tasks. A motion was made by Fixico and seconded by Carrell to approve as presented, the contract renewal for the copier lease in the Commissioner’s office. The terms and conditions are stated in the contract which is on file in the Jackson County Clerk’s office.

Item No. 11: New Business. County Treasurer, Renee Howard, presented the Sales Tax report for the month of September, 2011 totaling $118700.69 and the Use Tax report for the month of September, 2011 totaling $5220.17.

Item No. 13: Vendor Participation. There was no Vendor Participation.
