The County Commissioners met in SPECIAL Session at 9:00 a.m. in the County Commissioners office. Those present were: Chairman, Cary Carrell; Vice Chairman, Marty Clinton; Member, Anthony Fixico; County Assessor, Gerald Sherrill; County Treasurer, Renee Howard; County Clerk, Christi Hair; Paula Peterson.

Item No. 1: Call Meeting to Order. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Carrell.

Item No. 3: Consideration and possible action on Resolution for redistricting of county commissioner boundaries. A motion was made by Clinton and seconded by Fixico to adopt and approve Resolution #2011-44 which approves the redistricting of the Jackson County Commissioner boundaries. The new boundaries will take effect immediately upon the approval of the Resolution. County Assessor, Gerald Sherrill, informed the Board of Commissioners that the new boundaries on the maps in Assessor’s office cannot be made effective until they receive required information from the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

Item No. 4: Adjournment. A motion was made by Clinton and seconded by Fixico to adjourn.

The next meeting is set for Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10:00 a. m. in the Commissioner’s Office of the Jackson County Courthouse. Notice of the meeting was given by posting the required notification on the Information Center of the Jackson County Courthouse at 8:53 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2011.
