JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT

For the month ending April 30, 2010

Jackson County Sheriff, Roger Levick reports that the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 451 calls for the month.  The following is a summary of the calls that were responded to: 1 ATV, 9 Business and Residential Alarms, 28 Stranded or Abandoned Vehicles, 6 911 Calls, 11 911 Hang-ups, 1 Animal Abuse/Neglect, 3 Animal Bite, 36 Animals Out, 31 Agency/Officer Assists, 3 Burglary, 3 Child Abuse, 4 Civil Disturbances, 1 Contraband in Jail,  4 Damage to Property, 1 Debris in Roadway, 2 Disturbance Calls, 3 Domestics, 5 EMS/Fire Assists, 9 Emergency Calls, 4 Escort, 13 Fires,  85 Inmate Transports either to or from the Courthouse or from another Law Enforcement Agency, 6 Juvenile Transports, 3 Juvenile Disciplinary problems, 1 Larceny, 4 Reckless Drivers, 1 Sex Offender Registration, 1 Shooting, 3 Shots Fired, 4 Standby, 1 Stolen Vehicle/Equipment, 13 Suspicious Persons/Vehicles, 1 Traffic Control, 104 Traffic Stops, 1 Trash Dumping, 1 Trespassing, 2 Vandalism,  5 Walk Thrus, 4 Welfare Checks, and answered 33 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service, Civilian Transports, Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).

Deputies served 77 Warrants, performed 3 Sheriff Sales, and served 73 Civil Papers. 

Deputies worked a total of 14 new cases for the month of April.  The following is a breakdown of these written reports:  2 Breaking and Entering, 1 Credit Card Fraud, 1 Destruction/Damage to Property, 2 Driving Under Influence, 2 Driving Under Suspension, 1 Identity Theft, 1 Possession of CDS, 1 Public Intoxication, 1 Threats/Intimidation, 2 Auto Vandalism,

Total population of the Jackson County Jail on April 30th was 114 inmates.  168 inmates were booked in and 180 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or court ordered release. 15 Inmates were transported to Lexington, Oklahoma to begin serving time with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 22,511 miles for the month in performance of their duties.
