JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT
For the month ending March 31, 2010
Jackson County Sheriff, Roger Levick reports that
the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 447 calls for the
month. The following is a summary of the
calls that were responded to: 1 ATV, 7 Business and Residential Alarms, 20 Stranded
or Abandoned Vehicles, 5 911 Calls, 2 911 Hang-ups, 1 Animal Abuse/Neglect, 3 Animal
Bite, 38 Animals Out, 24 Agency/Officer Assists, 1 Breaking and Entering, 1
Child Abuse, 1 Child Custody, 1 Child Neglect, 2 Civil Disturbances, 1
Contraband in Jail, 1 Damage to Property,
4 Debris in Roadway, 2 Disturbance Calls, 3 Domestics, 7 EMS/Fire Assists, 7 Emergency
Calls, 1 Emergency Message, 4 Escort, 3 Fight, 8 Fires, 89 Inmate Transports
either to or from the Courthouse or from another Law Enforcement Agency, 9 Juvenile
Transports, 1 Juvenile Disciplinary problems, 5 Reckless Drivers, 3 Sex
Offender Registrations, 3 Shots Fired, 3 Standby, 4 Stolen Property, 1 Stolen
Vehicle/Equipment, 21 Suspicious Persons/Vehicles, 109 Traffic Stops, 1 Trespassing,
1 Vandalism, 1 Verbal Domestic, 5 Walk Thrus, 4 Welfare
Checks, and answered 39 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service, Civilian
Transports, Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).
Deputies served 69 Warrants, performed 4 Sheriff
Sales, and served 43 Civil Papers.
Deputies worked a total of 16 new cases for the
month of March. The following is a
breakdown of these written reports: 1 Attempted Burglary, 1 Burglary, 1 Child
Abuse/ Neglect, 1 Dog Bite, 2 Domestic, 2 Driving Under Suspension, 1 Identify
Theft, 1 Larceny, 1 Possession of CDS, 1
Reckless Conduct while having any Weapon, 1 Unattended Death, 1 Vandalism, and
1 Wire Fraud.
Total population of the Jackson County Jail on March
31st was 135 inmates. 169 inmates were
booked in and 159 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or
court ordered release.
The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 20,224
miles for the month in performance of their duties.
