JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT
For the month ending May 31st, 2010
Jackson County Sheriff, Roger Levick reports that
the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 548 calls for the
month. The following is a summary of the
calls that were responded to: 13 Business and Residential Alarms, 19 Stranded
or Abandoned Vehicles, 4 911 Calls, 6 911 Hang-ups, 2 Animal Bite, 38 Animals Out,
38 Agency/Officer Assists,1 Breaking & Entering, 4 Burglary,1 Child Abuse, 7
Debris in Roadway, 10 Disturbance Calls, 12 Domestics, 10 EMS/Fire Assists, 6 Emergency
Calls, 6 Escorts, 1 Fight, 7 Fires, 80 Inmate Transports either to or from the Courthouse
or from another Law Enforcement Agency, 2 Jail Assists, 6 Juvenile Transports,
5 Juvenile Disciplinary Problems, 7 Larceny, 1 Person with Gun, 10 Reckless Drivers,
1 Recovery of Stolen Property, 1 Sex Offender Registration,2 Shots Fired, 4 Standby,
1 Stolen Vehicle/Equipment, 22 Suspicious Persons/Vehicles, 1 Traffic Control, 167
Traffic Stops, 3 Trespassing, 2 Vandalism,
2 Verbal Domestics, 5 Walk Thrus, 7 Welfare Checks,
and answered 36 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service, Civilian
Transports, Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).
Deputies served 36 Warrants, performed 4 Sheriff
Sales, and served 44 Civil Papers.
Deputies worked a total of 26 new cases for the
month of May. The following is a
breakdown of these written reports: 1
Aggravated Assault, 9 Burglary, 1 Domestic Abuse, 4 Driving Under Suspension, 1
Drug/Narcotic Possession, 1 Failure to Register as Sex Offender, 1 Horseplay, 1
Identity Theft, 2 Larceny, 1 Simple Assault, 1 Trash Dumping, and 3 Vandalism.
Total population of the Jackson County Jail on May
31st was 125 inmates. 168 inmates were
booked in and 162 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or
court ordered release. 14 Inmates were transported to Lexington, Oklahoma to
begin serving time with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 22,344
miles for the month in performance of their duties.
