JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT

For the month ending October 31, 2010

Jackson County Sheriff, Roger Levick reports that the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 533 calls for the month.  The following is a summary of the calls that were responded to: 12 Business and residential Alarms, 21 Stranded or Abandoned Vehicles, 1 ATV, 7 911 Calls, 2 911 Hang-ups,  1 Animal Abuse / Neglect,  1 Animal Bite, 55 Animals Out, 36 Agency/Officer Assists, 4 Breaking & Entering, 2 Burglary, 2 Child Abuse, 3 Civil Disturbances, 1 Damage to Property, 9 Debris in Roadway, 14 Disturbance Calls, 4 Domestics, 3 EMS/Fire Assists, 16 Emergency Calls, 1 Escorts, 1 Fight, 14 Fires, 85 Inmate Transports either to or from the Courthouse or from another Law Enforcement Agency, 11 Juvenile Transports, 5 Juvenile Disciplinary Problems, 2 Larceny, 1 Rape, 3 Reckless Drivers, 1 Render Assistance, 3 Recovery of Stolen Property, 1 Sex Offender Registration, 2 Shots Fired, 1 Stolen Property, 21 Suspicious Persons/Vehicles, 1 Traffic Control, 126 Traffic Stops, 3 Trespassing, 5 Vandalism, 1 Verbal Domestic, 9 Walk Thrus, 8 Welfare Checks, and answered 34 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service, Civilian Transports, Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).

Deputies served 62 Warrants, performed 4 Sheriff Sales, and served 66 Civil Papers. 

Deputies worked a total of 23 new cases for the month of October.  The following is a breakdown of these written reports:  1 Assault and Battery, 1 Assault and Battery on Officer, 1 Burglary, 1 Child Abuse, 1 Contributing to Delinquency, 1 Damage to Property, 1 Driving Under Suspension, 1 Driving Under Influence, 1 Forgery, 1 Joyriding, 1 Possession of Marijuana, 3 Public Intoxication, 2 Stalking, 4 Theft, 1 Threatening to Perform Act of Violence, 1 Unattended Death, 1 Vandalism

Total population of the Jackson County Jail on September was 137 inmates.  159 inmates were booked in and 164 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or court ordered release. 2 Inmates were transported to Lexington, Oklahoma to begin serving time with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 24,417 miles for the month in performance of their duties.
