JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT
For the month ending September 30, 2010
Jackson County Sheriff, Roger Levick reports that
the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 527 calls for the
month. The following is a summary of the
calls that were responded to: 28 Business and residential Alarms, 20 Stranded
or Abandoned Vehicles, 4 911 Calls, 3 911 Hang-ups, 2 Animal Abuse / Neglect, 61 Animals Out, 23 Agency/Officer Assists, 23
Assist Agency / Officer, 1 Breaking & Entering, 4 Burglary, 4 Child
Custody, 1 Child Neglect, 10 Debris in Roadway, 9 Disturbance Calls, 9 Domestics,
7 EMS/Fire Assists, 9 Emergency Calls, 2 Emergency Messages, 2 Escorts, 2 Fights,
9 Fires, 109 Inmate Transports either to or from the Courthouse or from another
Law Enforcement Agency, 4 Juvenile Disciplinary Problems, 1 Larceny, 2 Minors
in Possession, 3 Reckless Drivers, 2 Recovery of Stolen Property, 1 Shooting, 4Shots
Fired, 5 Standby, 3 Stolen Property, 2 Stolen Vehicle/Equipment, 12 Suspicious Persons/Vehicles,
1 Traffic Control, 108 Traffic Stops, 4 Trash Dumping, 1 Trespassing, 2 Urgent
Call, 1 Vandalism, 1 Verbal Domestic, 3 Walk Thrus, 8 Welfare Checks, and
answered 39 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service, Civilian Transports,
Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).
Deputies served 76 Warrants, performed 5 Sheriff
Sales, and served 57 Civil Papers.
Deputies worked a total of 22 new cases for the
month of September. The following is a
breakdown of these written reports: 2
Arson, 4 Assault & Battery, 3 Burglary, 1 Destruction of Property, 1
Domestic, 1 Dog Bite, 2 Driving Under Suspension, 2 Fights, 2 Fraud, 1 Self
Inflicted Gun Shot, 1 Stolen Vehicle, 1 Violation of Open Meeting Act, and 1
Violation of Protective Order.
Total population of the Jackson County Jail on September
was 142 inmates. 136 inmates were booked
in and 132 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or court
ordered release. 2 Inmates were transported to Lexington, Oklahoma to begin
serving time with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 20517 miles
for the month in performance of their duties.
