JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT
For the month ending April 30, 2011
Jackson County Sheriff, Roger Levick reports that
the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 534 calls for the
month. The following is a summary of the
calls that were responded to: 15 Business and Residential Alarms, 32 Stranded
or Abandoned Vehicles, 2 911 Calls, 3 911 Hang-ups, 3 Animal Abuse/Neglect, 1 Animal Bite, 54 Animals Out, 16 Agency/Officer
Assists, 3 Burglary, 2 Child Custody, 1 Child Neglect, 4 Civil Disturbance, 4 Damage
to Property, 2 Debris in Roadway, 2 Disturbance Calls, 8 Domestics, 5 EMS/Fire Assists,
6 Emergency Calls, 1 Emergency Message, 3 Escort, 1 Fight, 39 Fires, 78 Inmate Transports
either to or from the Courthouse or from another Law Enforcement Agency, 10 Juvenile
Transports, 2 Juvenile Disciplinary problems, 1 Minor in Possession, 12
Reckless Drivers, 2 Shots Fired, 4 Standby, 4 Stolen Property, 25 Suspicious Persons/Vehicles,
4 Traffic Control, 123 Traffic Stops, 2 Trespassing, 1 Urgent Call, 1 Verbal Domestic, 3 Walk Thrus,
4 Welfare Checks, and answered 51 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service,
Civilian Transports, Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).
Deputies served 66 Warrants, performed 4 Sheriff
Sales, and served 91 Civil Papers.
Deputies worked a total of 17 new cases for the
month of April. The following is a
breakdown of these written reports: 2 Burglary, 1 Dog Bite, 2 Domestic, 3
Driving Under Influence, 2 Larceny, 1 Possession of CDS in Penal Institution, 2
Simple Assault, 1 Stalking, 1 Theft, 1 Vandalism, and 1 False Declaration on
Pawn.
Total population of the Jackson County Jail on April
30th was 120 inmates. 132 inmates were
booked in and 138 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or
court ordered release. 10 Inmates were transported to Lexington to begin
serving their sentences with the Department of Corrections.
The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 26,561
miles for the month in performance of their duties.
