JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT

For the month ending July 31, 2011

Jackson County Sheriff, Roger Levick reports that the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 507 calls for the month.  The following is a summary of the calls that were responded to: 14Business and Residential Alarms, 44 Stranded or Abandoned Vehicles, 3 ATV, 3 911 Calls, 3 911 Hang-ups, 7 Animal Abuse/Neglect, 67 Animals Out, 22 Agency/Officer Assists, 1 Breaking & Entering, 6 Burglary,  1 Child Custody, 3 Civil Disturbance, 2 Damage to Property, 5 Debris in Roadway, 21 Disturbance Calls, 7 Domestics, 3 EMS/Fire Assists, 10 Emergency Calls, 3 Escort, 1 Fight, 14 Fires, 54 Inmate Transports either to or from the Courthouse or from another Law Enforcement Agency, 2 Juvenile Transports, 2 Juvenile Disciplinary problems,  2 Recovery of Stolen Property, 10 Reckless Drivers, 2 Render Assistance, 4 Shots Fired, 5 Stand By,  5 Stolen Property, 2 Stolen Vehicle / Equipment, 18 Suspicious Persons/Vehicles, 4 Traffic Control, 93 Traffic Stops, 1 Trash Dumping,  2 Trespassing,  3 Vandalism, 2 Verbal Domestic, 4 Walk Thrus, 10 Welfare Checks, and answered 42 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service, Civilian Transports, Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).

Deputies served 87 Warrants, performed 3 Sheriff Sales, and served 89 Civil Papers.

Deputies worked a total of 28 new cases for the month of July.  The following is a breakdown of these written reports: 4 Assault, 3 Burglary, 1 Animal Neglect, 2 Domestic, 1 Embezzlement, 5 Grand Larceny, 1 Kidnapping, 2 Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property, 1 Livestock Theft, 1 No Driver’s License, 1 Public Intoxication, 1 Rape, 2 Threats, 1 Trash Dumping, 1 Unattended Death, and 1 Violation of Court Order.

Total population of the Jackson County Jail on July 31st was 106 inmates.  133 inmates were booked in and 120 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or court ordered release.

The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 23, 525 miles for the month in performance of their duties.
