JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT
For the month ending June 30, 2011
Jackson County Sheriff, Roger Levick reports that
the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 479 calls for the
month. The following is a summary of the
calls that were responded to: 21 Business and Residential Alarms, 26 Stranded
or Abandoned Vehicles, 1 ATV, 5 911 Calls, 5 911 Hang-ups, 3 Animal Abuse/Neglect, 1 Animal Bite, 65 Animals Out, 16 Agency/Officer
Assists, 1 Breaking & Entering, 4 Burglary, 5 Child Custody, 2 Civil Disturbance, 3 Damage
to Property, 6 Debris in Roadway, 5 Disturbance Calls, 8 Domestics, 11 EMS/Fire
Assists, 12 Emergency Calls, 3 Escort, 1 Fight, 16 Fires, 72 Inmate Transports
either to or from the Courthouse or from another Law Enforcement Agency, 5 Juvenile
Transports, 1 Juvenile Disciplinary problems, 1 Rape, 2 Recovery of Stolen
Property, 11 Reckless Drivers, 1 Render Assistance, 1 Shooting, 1 Stand By, 6 Stolen Property, 1 Stolen Vehicle, 19 Suspicious
Persons/Vehicles, 74 Traffic Stops, 2 Trash Dumping, 3 Trespassing, 4 Vandalism, 1 Verbal Domestic, 1 Walk Thrus, 9
Welfare Checks, and answered 44 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service,
Civilian Transports, Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).
Deputies served 65 Warrants, performed 4 Sheriff
Sales, and served 55 Civil Papers.
Deputies worked a total of 13 new cases for the
month of June. The following is a
breakdown of these written reports: 1 Assault with Deadly Weapon, 1 Copper
Theft, 2 Domestic Assault, 1 Forgery, 1 Grand Larceny, 1 Larceny Auto, 1
Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property, 1 Larceny, 1 Rape, 1 Road Sign Theft, 1
Unattended Death, and 1 Violation of Protective Order.
Total population of the Jackson County Jail on June
30th was 91 inmates. 143 inmates were
booked in and 162 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or
court ordered release. 20 Inmates were transported to Lexington to begin
serving their sentences with the Department of Corrections.
The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 24,757
miles for the month in performance of their duties.
