JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT

For the month ending October 31, 2011

Jackson County Sheriff, Roger LeVick reports that the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 470 calls for the month.  The following is a summary of the calls that were responded to: 24 Business and Residential Alarms, 27 Stranded or Abandoned Vehicles, 3ATV, 2 911 Calls, 6 911 Hang-ups, 7 Animal Abuse/Neglect, 56 Animals Out, 20 Agency/Officer Assists, 1 Assist EMS, 1 Child Abuse, 1 Child Custody, 1 Child Neglect, 2 Civil Disturbance, 1 Damage to Property, 7 Debris in Roadway, 4 Disturbance Calls, 6 Domestics, 11 Emergency Calls, 5 Escort, 1 Fight, 10 Fires, 67 Inmate Transports either to or from the Courthouse or from another Law Enforcement Agency, 8 Juvenile Transports, 3 Juvenile Disciplinary problems, 1 Minor in Possession, 7 Reckless Drivers, 4 Shots Fired, 2 Stand By, 1 Stolen Vehicle / Equipment, 20 Suspicious Persons/Vehicles, 98 Traffic Stops,  6 Trespassing, 5 Vandalism, 1 Verbal Domestic, 4 Walk Thru’s, 7 Welfare Checks, and answered 36 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service, Civilian Transports, Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).

Deputies served 56 Warrants, performed 4 Sheriff Sales, and served 68 Civil Papers.

Deputies worked a total of 19 new cases for the month of October.  The following is a breakdown of these written reports: 1 Contraband in Jail, 1 Driving Under Suspension, 1 Grand Larceny, 4 Larceny, 1 Child Abuse, 1 Obstruction, 1 Assault on Staff, 1 Forgery, 1 Trespassing, 1 Incident,  1 Industrial Accident, 1 Unsecured Animal, 1 Escapes from Arrest, 1 Domestic Assault and Battery  and 2 Violation of a Protective Order.

Total population of the Jackson County Jail on October 31 was 117 inmates.  128 inmates were booked in and 132 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or court ordered release.

 

The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 21,231 miles for the month in performance of their duties.
