JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY REPORT

For the month ending March, 2012

Jackson County Sheriff, Roger Levick reports that the Jackson County Deputies responded to a total of 445 calls for the month.  The following is a summary of the calls that were responded to: 11 Business and residential Alarms, 20 Stranded or Abandoned Vehicles, 4 911 Calls, 2 911 Hang-ups,  3 Animal Abuse / Neglect, 37 Animals Out, 15 Agency/Officer Assists, 1 Assault and Battery, 4 Breaking & Entering, 1 Burglary, 4 Calls for Service, 1 Child Custody Issue, 1 Damage to Property, 8 Debris in Roadway, 6 Disturbance Calls, 5 Domestics, 10 Emergency Calls, 2 Escorts, 15 Fires, 1 Fight,  56 Inmate Transports either to or from the Courthouse or from another Law Enforcement Agency, 8 Juvenile Transports, 7 Juvenile Disciplinary Problems, 1 Larceny, 1 Prowler,  7 Reckless Drivers, 2 Shots Fired, 3 Stand-bys, 2 Stolen Vehicle/Equipment, 24 Suspicious Persons/Vehicles, 3 Traffic Control, 141 Traffic Stops, 4 Trespassing calls, 6 Trash Dumping calls, 6 Vandalism calls , 9 Welfare Checks, and answered 38 other Miscellaneous Calls (Calls for Service, Civilian Transports, Open/Door Windows, Jail Assist, etc.).

Deputies served 67 Warrants, performed 3 Sheriff Sales, served 51 Civil Papers and 2 Recovered Stolen Property.

Deputies worked a total of 15 new cases for the month of March.  The following is a breakdown of these written reports:  1 Emergency Order of Detention, 3 Burglaries, 2 D.U.I’s, 1 Threats, 1 Eluding, 1 Fraud, 1 Animal Bite, 1 Larceny, 1 Attended Death, 1 Miscellaneous  and 2 Vandalisms.

Total population of the Jackson County Jail on March 31st   was 138 inmates.  166 inmates were booked in and 147 inmates were released either by bonding out, time served, or court ordered release.

The Department, as a whole, drove a total of 22,383 miles for the month in performance of their duties.
